  • Our next Home Game performance is on Friday, October 2. Friday's schedule and details will be the same as our previous games, listed here again for your convenience.

    • 6:00 PM.  Band members meet at the CFHS Band Room. Band members wear summer uniform (black shorts & red band t-shirt) underneath their full uniform. Remember long black socks.

    • Following half-time we will return uniforms and equipment to the band room. Students are then free to sit with friends or leave after half-time.

  • State Marching Band Contest the following week on Saturday, October 10 in Epworth. 

    • We need eight parent volunteers to chaperone the trip to Epworth and to help as needed with moving equipment. Please reply if you would help. I will be in touch with volunteers to go over the specific details.

    • We will start the day with an 8:00 AM rehearsal at CFHS, including a full run of the show before loading up the buses for our departure. Students will need to bring a sack lunch to eat on the road. We perform at 1:45 PM. We should be back home around 4:30 PM. 

    • Any parents taking their student after the performance, check out with either Mr. Engelhardt or Mr. Ramsey before departing. Prior to contest day, send a signed note to school stating that you will be taking your student following the performance.

    • We strongly encourage everyone to make the trip to Western Dubuque High School in Epworth to hear the band. We will have one more home game performance, but in many respects this will be the culminating performance of our fall season. The state music association charges admission for this event: $12.00 for adults, $7.00 for senior citizens (62+), and $5.00 for students K – 12. Chaperones (up to three per bus) are admitted for free. One admission price gets you in to hear any of the marching bands that day. This year tickets can only be purchased through Bound, either ahead of time, or at the gate, so credit card only for ticket purchases. 

    • In hopes of being 100% clear for everyone, the contest performance is NOT in Dubuque, but rather in Epworth at Western Dubuque High School.

  • Band trip planning is underway, and payment 1 is due on Sept. 15. All information related to the spring break trip is on the Band Trip 2027 tab at the top.
