Guard Audition Instructions:

Greetings! Thanks for checking out the audition material for guard.

​

Guard practice sessions: May 22-23-24, 3:15-4:15 pm at the high school in the band room.

Color guard is part of the marching band, and rehearses daily during 4th period. You'll need to have band in your schedule if you are accepted into the guard. In addition to the 4th period band rehearsals, the guard rehearses two nights a week outside of the school day, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8 pm. Those sectionals are mandatory.

The guard is coached by Terri Packard. Her coaching is excellent, and the guard consistently achieves top scores from the guard judges at the state marching band festival.

Guard Audition Guidelines: 

Learn fundamental techniques on Monday and Tuesday in-person at the HS Band Room.

Audition in small groups on Wednesday at the HS Band Room. Results posted online later the next day.
